One of the biggest days for UCF and the Communications and Marketing team is Day of Giving!
UCF Day of Giving is a 24-hour fundraising event. It’s one day for every Knight — alumni, faculty, parents, students and friends — to rally together in celebration of everything we love about UCF.
I created a plethora amount of videos, photos, graphics, videos, social media posts and social activations.
Video creation was something I worked on for the DoG campaign, leveraging our social media ambassadors, I led, filmed and edited all of the videos as well as writing a social media caption to go alongside it.
As Day of Giving approached, I created informative carousel posts for people to learn more about the fundraising event as well as funds they could support. Each post was accompanied by a UCF Today article that was written by the team.
Community engagement is something I did daily, but for this campaign, it required me to be creative and think outside of the box as we tried to collect funds from each state. For Day of Giving, it required me working a 16 hour day — from replying back to DM’s, comments and posts all managed through the Sprout Social Smart Inbox. This map of the USA was also something I pitched to the team, and was able to lead throughout both Day of Giving 2023 and 2024.
Two engagement driver pieces I created was both a BINGO Instagram story design and also a Word Search. Both of these items were designed to continue to momentum of Day of Giving, and encourage people to not only donate but participate in the fun!
